I'm guessing it all comes down to how well you take care of your vehicle..

Everyone give me your opinion on what I have my truck listed for on Craiglist.

2005 Colorado
103k miles, 4x4, running boards, fender flares, bed liner, sunroof, aftermarket cd player, crew cab, clean on outside and in, trailer hookup

Asking 10,950. The lowest i could go is 10,489 seeing as that's what I owe on my loan. What would be a good price to put it at if I didn't owe anything on it? I feel like everyone wants it for cheap and I can't let it go for that

List it higher then barter it down to the price you actually want for it. I've only had luck with selling sub 5K and below vehicles on craigs list though. fuckers want to scalp and waste time.

Rough Draft.

That thing is in perfect conditions, smells good, no moisture, drivetrain is only re-adjusted twice in its life. (We got soke fucking bumpy mountain roads)

Age means nothing to a car, it's in what condition that counts, when you buy a used car look for things under the surface.
  • Is the steering accurate?
  • Does the engine sound good?
  • Be in neutral, stand still and gas up while the door is open - is the exhaust intact?
  • Does it have enough motor oil and is it clean? (Big one!)
  • Check for rust around the wheel arch, it says how often the car has been washed.
  • Is the paint not shiny anymore and more matte? (micro-scratches) Then you should pull down 750 bucks on that price, a polishing fix isn't cheap.
  • Are the tires new or very old? If very old and cheap, don't expect that it's been taken good care of. If they make lots of noise when you drive, that should tell you about the quality - good tires are silent.
  • Are the seats ripped, don't worry. Are they semi moist and smelly. Pull more money from the price.
Be an asshole and don't take it as it is, they are the ones who want as much money they can take.
&&& All of this is true but I didn't go into context because I assumed we were talking about vehicles in good condition that just had some years on them.

Rough Draft.

I honestly don't know what to even put it at. They ask about it and I tell them and they're immediately turned away. 103k miles really isn't that high for a 2005.
