Save your money alittle longer, christmas is coming up if you get more cash you could get a better build overall.

You might want to look into a workstation graphics card for this build if it is just for video editing and no gaming. You might want more OpenGL power depending on the software you're using. The other cards people have suggested would work but you MIGHT find more use in a workstation card. Only problem is, they are pretty expensive.

You can flash the bios of a normal card to one from a workstation card. If you do this, you'd want to have a OEM card that's 100% identical to the one you're flashing to, and not one with extra RAM and a custom heatsink + who knows what else from ASUS or Visiontek or XFX.

You can either buy or torrent an OS. MS is getting better about protecting their OSs though, so either get something legit or buy Win7 from Newegg.

Also, we can't see the cart. We can only see shared (not temporary) wish lists.

If you want to be legit you can buy an OS. Personally, I don't think it's worth it when there are so many torrents and cracks out there that work fine. I have a friend with a "Valid" copy of Windows 7 that will still auto update on 5 different computers. He didn't pay for one.

Going to need more space then that for HD editing lol. Also, you aren't going to need a 5750.

You should go Phenom II x4 on your budget.

Increase your budget to $1,000 and this will do you good.

Going to have to check the price once more.

Crap, it's $1,146 dollars, $1,036 without Win7. If you lower the x4 965 to a x3 720 and don't buy Win7 you'll be in the budget.

Me thinks you should buy some parts used (Ebay or Overclock.net) or wait till Intel releases the i3s/i5s and then get this.

You can lower the GPU considerably. HD 4560/4570 territory would cut the price by about ~$80. You don't even need that much power anyways. 4860 would be complete overkill.
