Did you get those fps configs to work? I would think that they would help out a bunch...as long as there isn't too much fighting or smoke nades being thrown.

No, but I don't have a good video card at all, and I am pretty sure that that's my problem.

Graphics Card does not matter THAT much in CSS, its really a processor game. I am on a year+ old laptop with a 8600M GS in it and I can get 120+ fps in a full office pub and atleast 150+ fps on nuke 5v5 scrim.

So, I'm thinking about buying CS:S I downloaded steam and made an account. It says CS:S is $19.99, But someone else in this thread said something like it comes to $60. Can someone verify that once I buy CS:S for $19.99 I'll be able to play it?
