135x3x8 super long pause. and by super long I mean three count


now commencing the eat and bench more program.

255x5x5 @ 85% 5RM squats could have been speed sets. nifty.

Man...how is someone going to be on the only lat pulldown machine in the entire gym for at least 25+ minutes? Went to go use it after squats...he was there, looked like he'd been there a while. Went and spent 10 minutes doing 3 sets of curls. Went to go use it...still there. Went and spent 10 minutes doing 3 sets of dips...went back, still there. Had nothing left to do after that, so I just went and did 3x3 pull ups (I'm awful at them, which is why I've been trying to strengthen those muscles doing lat pulldowns)...was still there even omw out of the gym.

Never really heard any good things about long pause benching. Have you been doing it for a while?

naw. first day today.

honestly I need to start pausing my bench reps, and working on keeping tightness and not cramping up. so I figure some reps with 135 couldn't hurt and get me into the habit.

though the 205x3x2 were with a one second pause and those felt great.

all part of my "bench 2 plaets and bulk until my BMI puts me at obese"


I'm damn close on both fronts.

I think he's looking for 1.25lb so he can put one on each side to make 2.5 increments, in which case he would need to find how many collars are needed to make .25lb. I might be wrong but that's what I think he meant.
