fuck my life. this was so bad. I did 200x1 as my last warmup and I swear to god I could get that for like 10 reps. go above that and everything goes to fucking hell. maybe I'll switch to 3x3 or do doubles till my arms fall off. I guess I got a PR though.... also got a cramp as per usual in my lower right back and this time I even got one in both hamstrings. literally kill me.

that lower back cramp just kills me. I get one every time I go for a PR on bench. I gotta change something before I off myself. also I'm gaining weight, slowly but surely.

maybe I'll start messing with my volume day bench. doing some heavy singles just to learn to not be a faggot then more volume and fuck press on light day. idk but I'm sad and have two cramped up hamstrings.

When you're just sitting, or once you're laying down and before you arch, squeeze your ass hard and tighten your abs. Once you arch after that it should be pretty hard to cramp.

I do that. but I just can't keep that tightness past 2-3 reps. I'm strong enough, I think, if I could just keep the tightness. I even got a solid liftoff for my 210.

I think the answer is that I need to bench heavier more and binge an extra 500 calories a day.

fucking annihilated 335x5 deadlifts. holy shit. used chalk for the first time for heavy deads and damn son.

Been pigging out big time the last 2 and half weeks or so. I haven't weighed myself in several days, but last I checked, I was still under 185. Weirdly, I feel like I look marginally leaner in the mirror.

Just recently started to workout seriously for pretty much the first time in my life this past month. Thought I was just going to a small college and playing soccer there but I got an offer to play D1 in mid July just 3 weeks before preseason began. Needless to say I wasn't even close to being prepared to play at that level mentally and more so physically.

Came in at 5'10" 150 pounds, ended our first season at 145 pounds in mid November. Took a week off and then worked on and off a little, but finally got into a routine these past few weeks. Anyways, I'm up around 157 as of a few days ago and can already see and feel progress. I've always worked hard in practices and working on the technical aspect of my game, but there's something about putting in the work at the gym that I just really love. It's all still very new to me but I'm just trying to get a decent foundation right now, find what weights I should be using and focusing a lot on form.

Anyways, I've got a question. I know in SS and lots of other workout programs working sets are all at one weight, but my fitness coach has me lifting 3 sets of increasing weight. Like yesterday for squats I did some warmups, and then my working sets were 190x8, 205x8, 220x8. I'm not exactly sure of the reasoning behind this and I was wondering if any of you knew anything about it, and if doing working sets at one weight (220x3x8) would be better? I'm going to text him tomorrow and ask about it, but I was wondering if you guys knew anything about it.

5/3/1 has increasing working sets like that. It's a preference thing imo. Just a different way to acquire the volume necessary to induce a stress.

Shouldn't there at least be an inverse change in weight and reps tho (i.e. more weight, less reps)?

Also, Fierce, I've been stuck on Fatty Street all break without being able to work out. Was up to all-time high of 230 about a week ago but falling back down to earth and at around 225 right now. Not sure when I'll be able to do a BW squat again

That was what I was thinking. I feel like I'm not getting as much out of it as I could. I feel like it should either be a flat weight with the same reps or an increase in weight with less reps. It's very possible that I am wrong but that was just my initial view on it.
