I love Discourse, but that's not the current plan. Totally different environment that I'm not totally familiar with (runs on Ruby). We're looking at a more custom solution, but it's a ways off. In the meantime, we'll stay on VBulletin.

Yeah, Discourse doesn't really seem like a good fit for this sort of site anyway. Even if it were universally superior, it's so radically different that people would reject it, like the New Coke.

Time to move forward, finally. No more uncertainty.
