Alcohol withdrawal is worse than the withdrawal symptoms from harder drugs. Prove me wrong.

That's not the issue of the thread. You thought people could get addicted to weed, and you were wrong (physically). You thought people wouldn't just get buzzed or smoke socially, you were wrong. You cited drinking to "relax" as if people didn't smoke to relax.

How do you respond?

People who "drink to relax" don't always get drunk when they do that.

People who "smoke to relax" always get high when they do that. That's the big difference.

But, anyways, please answer my earlier question about alcohol withdrawals and the harder drugs withdrawals.

Why does it help you relax? Because of the mind-altering qualities of alcohol. Same with marijuana.

One drink will alter your mind, whether you think so or not. Same goes for marijuana. Just because you've had one drink doesn't mean you're white girl wasted, but there is a change. Same with marijuana. One hit won't get you baked off of your ass (unless you're a lightweight), but it lightens your mood.

According to this article, http://www.healthydrugfreecolorado.o...ow%20FINAL.pdf, the addiction rate is higher (no pun intended) for marijuana, than with alcohol. Here's the full quote.

"According to Dr. Madras, of the Harvard Medical School, marijuana addiction rates are higher than alcohol. Studies show that 13.7% or over 18 million of the 136 million regular alcohol users are considered abusers or dependent. When compared to marijuana, over 25% or 4.3 million of the 16.7 million regular marijuana users are considered abusers/dependent.28 According to Dr. Christian Thurstone, the director of the Denver Health’s Substance Abuse Treatment Education Prevention Program, “One in ten people who try marijuana become addicted to it.” He also demonstrates that the earlier the use the more likely an individual is to become addicted to marijuana."

Also, unlike marijuana, moderate alcohol consumption does actually have some health benefits. Studies show that it slows down aging and it increases longevity. It helps to increase the cognitive abilities, such as decreasing the risks of dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and the risks of dementia, and a lot of other stuff, etc.
